What does a school give back to a community over 150 years? At Christian Brothers High School, the answer reaches well beyond its graduates.

In this episode, I welcome President David Perry for a conversation about the Sacramento school’s history, its Lasallian mission, and the commitment to access that continues to shape its future.

David explains how $3.4 million in financial assistance supports nearly 500 families, and how the Brother David program removes barriers beyond tuition by covering uniforms, meals, technology, and participation in school activities. His goal is to expand that program to serve 100 students.

We also explore the school’s decision to remain in Oak Park, its vision for career pathways, and the community partnerships that help students put service into practice. From preparing meals for Wellspring Women’s Center to returning as teachers and donors, Christian Brothers students and graduates demonstrate how an education can keep giving back.

And in Beyond the Mission, we meet the person behind the presidency, including David’s unexpected journey from corporate finance to the classroom.
